My grandma had a KitchenAid mixer that for some reason the siblings wanted to give away to the DI. My mom was like, "Umm...do you know how much those are worth? We are not giving it to the DI!" Fortunately for me nobody wanted it so my mom snagged it up and gave it to me! :) I could not have been more pleased!
I have been wanting one of these beauty's for years but could never bring myself to pay the price for a brand new one. The best part is that it was my grandma's so it has sentimental value as well. I will think of her every time I use it.
My grandma was a great cook and baker so this mixer got a lot of use out of it. From what my mom and sister tell me it was pretty gross with caked on dried food and dough. They had to scrub quite a bit to get it clean but eventually they did get it pretty clean! So thank you mom and Dee for taking the time to do that! I love you both so much!
I love my "new" mixer!

Awesome! I'm like you, I want one so bad but I can't bring myself to spend that much on one. Yours looks like new! I bet you're havin lots of fun with it :)
Glad you love it. It is nice to have things that remind us of loved ones. Sure do Love you!
I love my kitchen Aid! You're going to love having one too. And everytime you see some dried dough or flour on this you'll really be reminded of your grandma.
Woohoo! I don't remember if I ever gave you the blog name again? It's JamieCooksItUp@blogspot.com. Look for the french bread recipe. All the steps make it seem daunting, but it's so easy and worth it!!
I want one too.......but not sure I would get much use out of it since I don't cook much! That is so neat to have something of your grandma's though!
Russ got me one for Christmas, it looks like it's pretty much the same as yours, just a different color. I had been wanting one for a way long too. So far I have loved it!! I just need to get some more recipes.
