Another Visit

I had a Dr. appointment today and everything is still looking good. No high blood pressure and no protein in my urine. This is a great sign. I may just have a normal full term pregnancy. And yeah, only 9 weeks to go. This pregnancy is really flying by. I can't wait until our baby girl gets here.

Another great thing, I was in and out in a half hour. So wonderful when you don't have to wait all day to see the Dr.! I need to start making my appointments for later in the day from now on. Too bad I didn't figure this out early on.

At my next two week appointment I will also have my 3-D ultrasound. It's always so fun to get a glimpse of what the baby looks like. Now, hopefully, she'll cooperate and give us a good view with no hands in her face.

Bad News!

This morning, right as we were leaving for Dallas to see my brother, I got a phone call from my mom telling us that the people taking him and the other elders to the airport were late getting there and so they missed their flight. They had to get another flight and so now are no longer going into Dallas. I am so sad! I was so looking forward to seeing him and having a vacation. He felt really bad because he wanted to see us too. So I guess it wont be until Christmas that we see him after all.

I Get To See Him First!!

I am so excited! My brother Ren comes home from his mission tomorrow, after serving, faithfully, in the Dominican Republic, and before he heads to Utah he has a 5 hr. lay over in Dallas so we will be making the drive to see him. What a blessing. We didn't think we were going to see him until Christmas. N-E way, Since it is a few hour drive we are going to make a weekend out of it. Isn't that great, I get to see my brother and spend a long weekend with my Hubby and baby all in one!

I am looking forward to Cole meeting his uncle. Ren is so great with kids that I know Cole will just love him! I Can't wait! Can't wait! Can't wait!

GNO

Last night we had our relief society girls night out. The plan was to go to the mall and have a scavenger hunt but because of the wet, dreary day I don't think anyone wanted to come out. Only six of us ended showing up so we went to TGI Fridays instead.

Two of us broke the rules by bringing our babies because our hubbies were playing volleyball. To give the guys credit they did offer to take the kids but watching kids and playing volleyball don't really mix so the GREAT wives that we are we took them with us. Really it wasn't bad because they are both good babies.

I had already eaten dinner so I got a yummy chocolate shake that Cole helped me eat.

The night turned out to be lots of fun with great company. We really missed everyone that couldn't make it! There is always next month.

Strike Three!

Saturday night Tom, Cole and I went to an Astros game. Unfortunately we forgot the camera at home. So no pictures, Sorry!

We ate really expensive ballpark food & snacks but what is a baseball game without the chili cheese dogs & cotton candy?

Cole kept clapping when the rest of the crowd would clap. He really seemed to be enjoying himself. He is so much fun. I love this age!

It was a lot of fun even though the Astros got there butts kicked by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

It was great being there just as a family doing something different for a change.

Out with the Old. In with the New.

We did it! We finally got our family car!

Although we miss my fun little beetle it's nice to have a vehicle that can fit the whole family without squeezing in. And having four doors makes it so wonderful getting Cole in and out. I love our new Honda CR-V!

Now also I won't be such an inconvenience to those who were always giving me rides. Thank you to all of you who helped me out with that! So greatly appreciated! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

So Pretty!

And He's Off!

The moment you've been waiting for. Video of Cole walking! Actually, two because both video's were just so dang cute that I couldn't decide which one I liked better, so you get both. What a big mile stone!

Here I was actually trying to take video of Cole climbing the chair but he turned around and noticed I had the camera so he stopped what he was doing to come get it. So, instead I got a cute little clip of him walking.

Our Very Own Monkey

Here's our little monkey. Cole loves climbing up to the kitchen sink any way he can.
Oh Goodness! What are we going to do with you!?

Updates

I had another appointment today and everything is looking good. Avery's heart rate sounded great and my belly measurements are right where they should be. I was also informed that I passed my glucose test with flying colors! Which only makes me wonder why I didn't pass the first time. I think they just like running tests. Means more money for them. My blood pressure is still looking good as well. Only 11 more weeks to go!!

More exciting news, the house we were looking at to rent just approved us. We will be moving in next month around the 13th. Plenty of time to get settled before Avery gets here.
I finally got a swim suit that doesn't look horrible. What a pain trying to find a cute maternity suit. I actually tried this one on when my belly was a little smaller and it looked funny. Now that I am bigger it looks better.

Ouch!!

Cole had to get his year shots today. Why today and not two months ago? Well, I'm not a very good mother because I don't have any of his shot records so we had to wait for the Dr. office in Utah to send them over. Even when the new office received the records they didn't have his full shot record. My goodness! I've learned my lesson, from now on I will keep my own records. The nurse was able to give him the shots though because I knew we were up to date with all of them. Poor little guy! On the bright side he hasn't started running a fever like he usually does so that is great!

Another Weekend Come and Gone

This last weekend was pretty eventful but much like any other. Friday night we took the missionaries out for dinner. We met up with the Benac's, Tricarico's and Vautier's, friends from the ward, at CiCi's pizza buffet. We ate a TON and had a great time. Saturday, Tom went to help the Dickerson's move out of their apartment. So sad to see them go! Then he had to go into work for a few hours to make up for going in late on Friday from sleeping in because of my little early morning trip to the hospital. We did have the Tricarico's over for dinner Saturday night and that was fun. So all in all it was a good weekend.

Silly Boy

This is one of Cole's new things he loves to do, climb into the basket we have in the living room.

Lately he has also gotten into this thing where he will bring you shoe's to put on his feet. It doesn't matter if they are the same shoe or even if they are both the same foot, he loves having them on. He's so funny!

The Unwelcome Guests

Last night was quite the night.

First, I went to use the bathroom, turned on the light and saw something scurry across the floor. This is what I found

Our First and hopefully last, Cockroach

Not a very clear picture but without getting up close and personal it's the best I could do. But I think blurry or not you get what it is.
I had Tom get out of bed and flush it down the toilet. Ick!

Then, at about 3:20 I woke with a pain in my belly that I hadn't felt before. I thought if I rolled over and switched sides it would go away but no. So then I thought if I got up walked around and got a drink of water it would go away. Still no. I was also having what felt like a contraction with the tightening but it was constant and didn't let up. I debated on whether or not to wake Tom, again, but after ten min. I decided I should. We got a hold of the on call Dr. and she told us to go to the labor & delivery room. So to make a long story short, after about an hour of bing monitored it turned out to be just fine. Even though it turned out to be nothing, the piece of mind was worth the visit.

My Very Own

I have always wanted a sewing machine and now I finally have one. Not that I'm all that good at sewing but it will still come in handy for basic, easy projects.

The Car Seat 2

I forgot we had taken pictures of Cole with his car seat.
He had so much fun playing in it.

I'll Be Home For Christmas

We've booked our flights for Christmas! So now the countdown begins. I can't wait!

Not so scary Edouard

Tom got let off early Monday and then had yesterday off as well for this "HUGE" tropical storm that was headed our way. I was so freaked out! We've had some apartment shaking thunder storms that I thought if it was bigger than that it would be pretty scary. It even had the possibility of turning into a class 1 hurricane. Ahh...SCARY!

Tropical Storm EDOUARD got here early afternoon Tuesday the 5th. Now that was a wimpy storm, some rain and a little bit of wind. I got worked up about absolutely nothing. Quite disappointing actually. But at least Tom got a day and a half off for it so no complaints here.

~First picture of storm damage~
I found this pictures on line of the storm damage.
Just shows how strong this storm really was.

The Car Seat

We got Cole's car seat on Friday. It has been wonderful! It's so fun to be able to turn around and see his smiling face. I'm quite sure he enjoys it better too.
